Hot Trim Operator

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Hot Trim Operator to join their team. As a Hot Trim Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Hot Trim Operator

Location: Kalkaska, MI

Pay Range: $16.60/hr

Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00am-2:30pm and mandatory overtime Fridays 6:00am-2:00pm, some Saturdays when required.

What's the Job?

• Conduct walk-round inspections of equipment at the beginning of each shift
• Trim forged parts coming off the hammers and operate the trim press
• Operate conveyor systems and load billet feeders
• Inspect part line-up and assist with hammer setup and adjustments for part alignment
• Clean work area at shift end, and support material handling tasks

What's Needed?

• Experience operating a hot trim or similar press
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Basic math skills
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes
• Willingness to perform additional tasks as required
