Hot Zone Mechanic/Fabricator - 1st Shift

We are currently searching for a reliable and motivated individual to join our Hot Zone Assembly Group for a 1st shift Mechanical Assembly position (6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday). We are seeking a skilled tradesman with mechanical assembly experience and familiarity of sheet metal fabrication, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting. Technical School degree or High School Diploma (GED) plus relevant work experience.2-4 years of industrial manufacturing, maintenance, or machine operation experience preferred.Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical assembly drawings and schematics, equipment specifications, and OEM instruction manuals.Ability to operate basic hand tools, precision measuring devices, portable power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, and stationary shop equipment such as a drill press.Possess basic metal fabrication skills including cutting, drilling, countersinking, deburring, grinding, tapping, measuring and fit up, shearing, and bending.Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding in highly desirable.Ability to competently operate material handling equipment such as forklift trucks, high lifts, and overhead cranes & hoists.Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and work from heights above floor from ladders, high lifts, and boom lifts.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally. What your day would be like: Mechanical assembly and installation of Hot Zones and their sub-assemblies for new vacuum furnaces.Layout, fabrication, and assembly of stainless steel and molybdenum sheet metal fabrications.Piece-part fabrication and assembly of hot zone components.Refurbishment or assembly of Replacement Hot Zones and spare parts for existing vacuum furnaces. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.Work efficiently and safely while ensuring company quality standards are maintained and following safety protocols.
