The Assistant Hotel Controller supports the property's Director of Finance with the accounting department for the Hilton Charlotte University Place. You will manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, month-end closes, and balance sheet reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with P&L statements, balance sheets, and bank reconciliations. • Team Supervision: Guide and train accounting staff, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and night audit teams • Payroll Processing: Review timecards, process payroll, and ensure labor costs align with hotel budgets. • Audit & Compliance: Facilitate internal and external audits, enforce internal controls, and maintain compliance with local and state tax regulations. Qualifications: • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management is strongly preferred. • Experience: Typically requires 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with specific background in hotel or resort operations Assistant Controller. • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with industry accounting software (e.g., M3 Accounting Software ) Compensation: $0
