Baker/Cook
Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a baker/cook to join Hotel 1928 and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain high sanitation and food safety standards in all baking and cooking areas.
- Ensure organized and clean storage areas for all ingredients, baked goods, and prepared foods.
- Properly handle, store, and label all ingredients and finished products at the conclusion of each shift.
- Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Prepare baked goods, pastries, breakfast items, lunch, dinner, and banquet dishes according to hotel specifications and recipes.
- Collaborate with management to create daily specials, seasonal menu items, and baked creations.
- Maintain clean and orderly prep stations, storage areas, and ingredient par levels.
- Perform other culinary duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Previous experience as a cook, baker, or in a culinary environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques, and health & safety guidelines
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
- Commitment to exceeding guest expectations
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment
