Overview:

An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic, results-driven sales leader to take the helm of two of the region's most successful and high-performing Marriott hotels. We are seeking an ambitious, strategic, and passionate Complex Director of Sales & Marketing who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an immediate impact on revenue growth, market share, and hotel performance.

As the sales leader for these two busy and thriving properties, you will drive the overall commercial strategy, leading all revenue-generating efforts across group, transient, and catering segments. Responsibilities:
  • Drive top-line revenue growth across group, transient, and catering segments while identifying new opportunities to expand market share and profitability.

    • Lead the commercial strategy for two successful Marriott hotels, creating innovative sales initiatives that deliver exceptional results.

    • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activity, and economic influences to position the hotels as market leaders.

    • Develop and execute dynamic marketing and communication strategies that strengthen brand awareness and maximize return on investment.

    • Serve as the voice of the customer, bringing valuable client and guest insights to hotel leadership and influencing key business decisions.

    • Transform data into action by leveraging STR reports, forecasting, P&L analysis, sales mix performance, group pace, and other key business metrics.

    • Analyze demand generators, market conditions, and industry trends to identify opportunities for sustainable growth.

    • Conduct competitive reviews, SWOT analyses, and market assessments to maintain a competitive advantage and stay ahead of emerging hotel supply.

    • Develop targeted strategies to penetrate key geographic markets and expand the hotel's customer base.

    • Build, retain, and grow high-value client relationships while securing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

    • Create and implement winning sales strategies for key market segments and major accounts, driving both new and repeat business.

    • Design effective sales deployment plans and market assignments that maximize team productivity and revenue generation.

    • Establish ambitious yet achievable sales goals designed to exceed revenue, budget, and market share objectives.

    • Monitor group pace, production performance, and pipeline activity to ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.

    • Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing sales team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.

    • Manage strategic sales activity and travel planning to maximize market presence, business development opportunities, and revenue growth.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.

• Proven leadership experience with a minimum of three years in hotel sales management and a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams.

• Confident communicator with experience presenting to and partnering with ownership groups, asset managers, and executive leadership.

• Expert user of hotel sales and operational platforms, including Delphi, PMS systems, and related sales technology tools.

• Strong collaborator who works seamlessly with Revenue Management to maximize hotel performance, profitability, and market share.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel market segments, distribution channels, and demand drivers, with the ability to create targeted growth strategies for each.

• Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.

• Highly skilled at building relationships across departments and fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of success.

• Proven ability to recruit, coach, develop, motivate, and inspire sales professionals while cultivating a competitive, accountable, and winning team environment.

• Strong business acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  A strategic thinker who can anticipate market trends, identify opportunities, and develop winning commercial strategies that drive revenue and market share growth.

For Employees Based in Washington:

  • 8 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • Paid Sick & Safe Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, with up to 72 hours of unused time carried over from one anniversary year to the next.

For Employees Based in Colorado:

  • 8 paid holidays per year; employees working in the City of Denver receive 64 hours of designated holiday time per calendar year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service
  • 6 days or 48 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year, accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

For Employees Based in California:

  • 8 paid holidays per year
  • Up to 20 days of paid vacation per year, based on classification and length of service, capped at 1.5x annual accrual rate; non-supervisory employees working in the City of Los Angeles accrue up to 22 days of Compensated Time Off, based on length of service capped at 192 hours of combined PST and CTO.
  • Paid Sick Time accrues at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, unused time is carried over from one anniversary year to the next up to a maximum of 80 hours; employees working in the City of Los Angeles are provided 40 hours of Paid Sick Time annually on their anniversary, unused time is not carried over from one anniversary year to the next.
