HOTEL FRONT DESK CLERKS

About the Role:
Quality Inn & Suites of Plattsburgh is looking for friendly and motivated Hotel Front Desk Clerks to join our team in Plattsburgh, NY! This is a fantastic opportunity to be the face of our hotel, creating memorable first impressions and delivering outstanding guest experiences every day. 

We are seeking a full time Overnight Front Desk Clerk, shifts are from 11:00PM to 7:00AM.

We are also seeking a part time 2nd Shift Front Desk Clerk, shifts are from 3:00PM to 11:00PM.



Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and professional check-in experience
• Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately using hotel property management systems (PMS)
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
• Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications via phone, email, and in person
• Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction
• Provide local area information and recommendations to enhance the guest experience

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous hotel front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with hotel PMS software is a plus
• Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Professional appearance and a positive, team-oriented demeanor
