Overview - Collection & Sorting: Retrieving soiled items from laundry bags or carts and sorting them by color, fabric type, and level of soil.
- Washing & Drying: Operating industrial-grade washers and dryers, which requires knowledge of specific wash formulas and appropriate chemical dosages for different materials.
- Stain Treatment: Inspecting items for damage or stubborn stains and applying pre-treatment chemicals before laundering.
- Finishing: Folding, or steaming linens to meet hotel brand standards.
- Distribution: Organizing clean items on carts and stocking linen closets or delivery areas for the housekeeping team.
- Maintenance: Regularly cleaning lint traps, wiping down equipment, and reporting any mechanical issues to the engineering department.
Job Requirements - Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
