    Job Summary

    We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team in. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of all hotel facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for our guests and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. You will be expected to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and lead maintenance projects with confidence and professionalism.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
    • Repair and maintain facilities equipment such as elevators, lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and electrical systems using hand tools, schematics, and diagnostic devices like ohmmeters.
    • Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and other handyman tasks to maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel premises.
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and electrical equipment repair techniques; perform electrical work adhering to safety standards.
    • Oversee plumbing system maintenance including repairs to pipes, fixtures, pumps, and valves; ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently.
    • Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors when necessary, providing leadership and guidance on complex repair projects.
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory (MRO), and work orders; ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Respond promptly to guest requests or urgent maintenance issues to uphold high service standards; communicate effectively with team members and guests.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or residential environment.
    • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, schematics, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters.
    • Expertise in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and systems; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
    • Skilled in HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general facilities upkeep.
    • Knowledge of building interior maintenance practices along with experience managing maintenance painting projects.
    • Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues independently.
    • Excellent communication skills in English; capable of supervising teams effectively while demonstrating leadership qualities.
    • Valid certifications related to electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing repairs or equivalent are preferred.
    • Experience with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) procedures; familiarity with building safety codes is advantageous.
