Hotel Maintenance Painter

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented professional to join our team in a maintenance role focused on painting and surface finishing within a hotel environment. This position plays an important part in maintaining a clean, polished, and welcoming appearance throughout the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and contributes to a positive guest experience through excellent upkeep of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including cleaning, patching, sanding, and priming as needed.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and fixtures.
• Perform touch-ups and repainting to maintain a consistent, high-quality appearance throughout guest rooms and public areas.
• Protect furniture, flooring, and surrounding surfaces during painting projects.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks related to surface repair and finishing.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, neat edges, and professional results.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and complete projects efficiently.
• Respond to painting and cosmetic repair requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in painting, maintenance, facilities, or a related trade is preferred.
• Knowledge of painting tools, materials, and surface preparation methods.
• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and common painting equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment as needed.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends or holidays when necessary.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in hospitality, property maintenance, or commercial facilities.
• Familiarity with drywall patching, minor surface repairs, and caulking.
• Knowledge of color matching and finish selection.
• Ability to perform light maintenance tasks beyond painting when needed.
