Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician

Location: Santa Rosa, NM

Salary: $15–$18/hr (DOE)


About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at a hotel property in Santa Rosa, NM. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the hotel to ensure a comfortable and seamless guest experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Repair and maintain hotel systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and appliances (as qualified)
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance issues and safety hazards
  • Assist with basic repairs, painting, carpentry, and general upkeep of the building and grounds
  • Maintain pool, laundry, and mechanical areas to ensure proper operation and cleanliness standards
  • Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, hotel standards, and operational procedures
  • Support housekeeping and front desk teams as needed to ensure smooth daily operations


Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance, facilities, or general repair experience preferred (hotel experience a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general building systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as needed
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to respond to on-call or emergency situations if required
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
