Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the Role

At Spark by Hilton, we deliver dependable, friendly, and practical hospitality. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our property team. In this role, you will ensure our guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment are running smoothly, looking sharp, and kept in optimum condition.

What You’ll Do

• Preventative Maintenance (PM): Execute room PM cycles twice per year per Hilton standards, checking HVAC units, electrical, plumbing, door locks, and interior finishes.
• Pool & Chemical Care: Manage daily pool maintenance, skimming, vacuuming, and routine chemical testing/balancing to keep the water sparkling and safe for guests.
• Work Orders & Repairs: Promptly address day-to-day guest calls and staff maintenance requests, prioritizing occupied rooms to keep guest satisfaction high.
• General Upkeep: Perform routine touch-up painting, drywall repair, minor plumbing/electrical fixes, and grounds inspections (parking lot, fitness center, common areas).
• Safety & Standards: Maintain equipment rooms, keep supply inventory organized at proper PAR levels, and uphold all safety protocols (OSHA, ADA readiness, Lockout/Tagout).

What We’re Looking For

• Practical experience in general building maintenance (plumbing, basic electrical, drywall, painting, and HVAC basics).
• Hands-on knowledge of swimming pool operations, equipment, and water balancing (CPO certification a plus).
• A self-starter with a friendly, professional attitude who enjoys helping guests and working with a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional holidays.
