Introduction
We are seeking a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Guest Service Representative / Night Auditor to join our hotel team. This hybrid role combines front desk guest services with overnight audit responsibilities. The ideal candidate delivers excellent customer service while ensuring accuracy in daily financial and operational processes.
Schedule
- 32–36 hours per week
- Rotating weekend overnight audit shifts (Saturday & Sunday). On weekends you are not scheduled for audit, you will still be scheduled for a day (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) or evening (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) shift.
- Two additional weekday shifts required (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM)
- Open availability for all shifts is required
- Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays based on business needs
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out processes
- Handle reservations, payments, and issue room keys
- Answer phone calls and respond to online inquiries promptly
- Assist guests with requests such as dining reservations or local recommendations
- Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and care
Night Audit Responsibilities
- Perform end-of-day accounting and close out daily operations
- Reconcile guest folios, payments, and room charges
- Balance cash drawer and verify credit card transactions
- Review and correct discrepancies in financial reports
- Run and distribute daily audit and revenue reports
- Roll the system over to the next business day
Additional Duties
- Assist with setting up events or meetings as needed
- Monitor inventory and restock front desk supplies
- Perform light cleaning (counters, lobby upkeep, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and secure environment during overnight hours
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, front desk, or customer service preferred
- Night audit or basic accounting experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Comfortable with computers and reservation systems
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
