Job Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Support mobility, transfers and ambulation as needed.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Offer companionship and social interaction through engaging conversations and activities.
- Accompany and/or drive clients to appointments and social activities.
- Monitor clients’ health, document observations, and report any changes to the care team.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience of at least one year (dementia and/or Parkinson’s preferred)
- Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs
- Patience, compassion, and reliability
- Strong ability to communicate, read and comprehend English
- Certified Dementia Practitioner (preferred)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Provide results of TB test results (can be completed after interview)
