Job Description Summary

The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel is seeking a dependable and service-oriented House Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This position supports the cleanliness, appearance, and daily operation of the hotel while helping create a welcoming environment for our guests.

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain assigned public areas, service areas, corridors, and housekeeping workspaces in a clean and orderly condition.
• Deliver linens, supplies, amenities, and other requested items to guest rooms and designated hotel areas.
• Stock and organize housekeeping closets, carts, and storage areas.
• Remove trash, soiled linens, and other materials from assigned areas.
• Assist Room Attendants with heavy items, room setup, and other operational needs.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest and departmental requests.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, lost-and-found items, and unusual conditions to management.
• Follow hotel procedures for chemical handling, sanitation, workplace safety, security, and key control.
• Operate housekeeping equipment safely and properly.
• Support the Housekeeping team with additional duties based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to provide courteous and professional service to guests and coworkers.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to operate carts and housekeeping equipment throughout the shift.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a UNITE HERE Local 2 union position with an hourly rate of $33.76. Eligible employees receive union benefits in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Hourly rate is from $32.76 to $33.76 follows contract requirements.
