Kennedy House is a premier 552-unit cooperative residential community located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Housekeeper to join our team.


The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and guests while contributing to the overall appearance and operation of one of Philadelphia's premier residential communities.


Position Summary


The Housekeeper performs an essential role in the custodial maintenance of the building and grounds while providing exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and fellow employees.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  •  Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all common areas throughout the property. 
  •  Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, scrub, disinfect, and polish assigned areas. 
  •  Clean and stock public restrooms. 
  •  Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables. 
  •  Clean guest suites, including changing linens, making beds, and restocking supplies. 
  •  Clean and maintain kitchenettes and amenity spaces. 
  •  Set up and break down tables and chairs for meetings, events, and resident functions. 
  •  Operate housekeeping equipment including floor machines, vacuums, extractors, power washers, and snow removal equipment. 
  •  Perform snow removal duties, including shoveling and application of ice melt. 
  •  Assist with swimming pool cleaning and maintenance. 
  •  Inspect the property for cleanliness and safety concerns. 
  •  Report maintenance issues, hazards, and building deficiencies to management. 
  •  Respond professionally to resident requests and provide exceptional customer service. 
  •  Complete daily work reports and document completed assignments. 
  •  Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times. 
Qualifications


  •  High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  •  Previous housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, hotel, apartment, or commercial cleaning experience preferred. 
  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  •  Excellent customer service and communication skills. 
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely perform the physical requirements of the position. 
  •  Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
