About Our Family

We are a busy, close-knit, blended family of five (seven if you count our two dogs!) that values strong moral principles and traditions. With three kids—two adult children and a pre-teen—our home is a place where we embrace a healthy, active lifestyle, guided by values that prioritize integrity, respect, and responsibility.

The role is split between two homes, located 20 minutes apart in El Macero and Woodland, with four days spent at one residence and one day at the other. A significant part of our daily rhythm involves a cross-town school and activities commute, requiring approximately 45-60 minutes each way for school drop-offs and pick-ups, which can add up to four hours of driving on some days. This, combined with full workdays, family time, and activities, often leaves the household feeling stretched and behind.

We believe in fostering a nurturing environment that reflects our beliefs and promotes stability for our children. Connection is central to our lives, and we uphold practices that bring us closer together, such as shared meals and family time. We take pride in the values of hard work, trustworthiness, and wholesome living, and we look for those who share a similar outlook to join us in supporting our family's needs.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

We are seeking a trustworthy, seasoned House Manager who aligns with our family-centered values and brings a good sense of humor. You are health-conscious, creative, and able to relate well to both young adults and pre-teens, maintaining a sense of wisdom and responsibility. A strong moral compass and character are essential to us.

This role requires someone who is highly detail-oriented, self-disciplined, responsible, and committed to upholding traditional principles while creating a warm, welcoming environment. A strong appreciation for service and community is key, as well as the ability to maintain a peaceful, well-run household. We value someone who can balance structure and warmth, nurturing family life while maintaining a positive and proactive environment. Above all, we're looking for a person who embraces a healthy lifestyle and shares our commitment to integrity and overall well-being.

Qualities We're Looking For

  • Exceptional organization and systems thinking: You create efficient systems and ensure the home runs smoothly with attention to detail and structure.
  • Strong moral compass: You act with integrity, honesty, and responsibility, consistently upholding the family's values.
  • Emotional intelligence and collaboration: You connect well with others, offering support and working both independently and as part of the family team.
  • Proactive and self-disciplined: You take initiative to solve problems and maintain responsibility for all aspects of the household.
  • Good sense of humor and a balanced approach to life: You bring a playful spirit and grounded presence, balancing lightheartedness with respect for boundaries.
  • Commitment to a healthy, balanced lifestyle: You prioritize clean eating and physical health, while appreciating life's occasional indulgences.
