House Manager - Sober Living Residence | Anchor House
Boots Property Partners is seeking a dedicated House Manager for our new sober living residence, Anchor House, located in Southern Maryland (St. Mary's County). This is a live-in position ideal for someone in strong recovery who wants to give back while building their next chapter.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As House Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a 5-bedroom men's sober living home. You will serve as a peer leader, maintaining structure, accountability, and a safe environment for all residents. This is a part-time role — you are encouraged to hold outside employment.
COMPENSATION
- Free private room and board (valued at $1,000+/month)
- Bonus income based on occupancy levels

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a safe, clean, and structured home environment
- Enforce house rules and ensure accountability among residents
- Conduct or coordinate regular house meetings
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact
- Communicate with management regarding resident issues or maintenance needs
- Support new residents during move-in and orientation
- Model recovery-oriented living
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 9-12 months of continuous sobriety (required)
- Personal experience in recovery (required)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage conflict calmly and fairly
- Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated
- Must pass background check
- Must be able to live on-site full-time
PREFERRED
- Experience in peer support, recovery coaching, or house management
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license
