The property offers 73 guest rooms and 12 single-level penthouse residences, all with sweeping views of Idaho's Rocky Mountains. Guests and owners will enjoy an elevated level of personalized service and an extensive amenity suite, including a 5,700-square-foot full-service spa, a 1,500-square-foot fitness center, six treatment rooms, an indoor thermal pool, cold plunge, sauna, and steam rooms. A state-of-the-art rooftop observatory and outdoor terrace bar will provide unobstructed access to the Central Idaho Dark Sky Reserve, the first designated preserve of its kind in the U.S. and one of only 12 globally.

Overview

Located at the southeast corner of Main Street and River Street East-the gateway to downtown Ketchum, Idaho-and just minutes from Bald Mountain's River Run base, this exceptional property will debut as Sun Valley's first luxury hotel and for-sale residence offering. As part of the Viceroy team, you'll help bring our signature experiential hospitality to one of North America's most iconic, year-round mountain destinations.

The Houseperson supports the daily operations of the Housekeeping department by assisting Room Attendants, responding to guest requests, and managing the flow of linens, terry, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies throughout the resort. This position is responsible for receiving and inspecting all items returned from the contracted laundry provider, ensuring linens and uniforms meet the resort's cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards before being placed back into circulation.

Responsibilities

• Strip guestrooms of used linens and terry to support efficient room cleaning and turnover.
• Collect and transport soiled linens and terry to designated laundry staging areas.
• Deliver clean linens, terry, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest floors and Room Attendants.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, including delivery of towels, linens, amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and other requested items.
• Receive, count, sort, and inspect all linens, terry, and uniforms returned by the contracted laundry provider.
• Inspect all returned items for cleanliness, stains, damage, proper finishing, and overall quality before placing them into circulation.
• Identify and document unacceptable, damaged, stained, or missing items and coordinate re-cleaning, repair, or replacement as needed.
• Prepare, count, organize, and stage soiled linens, terry, and uniforms for pickup by the contracted laundry provider.
• Manage the organization, storage, issuance, collection, and distribution of associate uniforms.
• Maintain accurate uniform inventory, including sizes, condition, exchanges, repairs, and replacement needs.
• Maintain appropriate linen, terry, uniform, amenity, and housekeeping supply levels.
• Stock and maintain linen closets, housekeeping storage areas, and Room Attendant supplies.
• Maintain linen rooms, uniform areas, and laundry receiving and staging areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Communicate laundry quality concerns, shortages, missing items, and discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
• Assist with the movement and storage of housekeeping equipment and supplies as needed.
• Follow all resort safety, sanitation, security, and cleanliness standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing operational needs.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and fellow associates.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to safely push and maneuver loaded housekeeping and linen carts.
• Must be able to transport linens, supplies, equipment, and other materials throughout the property.
