An established healthcare facility in Albany, NY is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a House Supervisor, overseeing resident care, staffing, and facility operations during assigned shifts.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Evenings or Nights
- Schedule: Monday to Friday; Saturday and Sunday
- Hours: 3pm 11pm or 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Inpatient healthcare facility
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safety of residents, staff, and the facility during the assigned shift.
- Supervise resident care and the performance of staff on duty.
- Respond to resident emergencies and ensure timely, appropriate care.
- Manage staffing needs, address call-outs, and coordinate coverage as needed.
- Complete shift reports, incident documentation, and transitions to the oncoming team.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of Nursing experience in Long-Term Care or Care of Neurologically Impaired & Developmentally Disabled individuals
- Active New York State RN license
- CPR certification
- Experience in a Supervisory role
- Strong communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Nursing Management in a Long-Term Care setting
- Experience working with Pediatric or Young Adult populations
- Background in Quality Improvement, Staff Audits, and Infection Control practices
- Familiarity with Medical Emergency Response and Regulatory Compliance in Long-Term Care
