Household Manager | Family Assistant

Location: Honolulu, HI (96821)

Employment Type: Full-Time (25-30 hours per week)

Compensation: $38–$42 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for after-school activities, evening date nights, and weekend support as needed.

Start Date: August 2026

About Our Family

We are a warm, active family of five, our family includes three children (ages 9, 5, and 3), one sweet senior dog, and two hardworking parents balancing growing careers with raising an energetic family.

Like many busy families, we have reached a season where life is wonderfully full. Between running businesses, work, school, sports, activities, and the everyday responsibilities of running a home, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys creating calm, organization, and breathing room behind the scenes.

Mom owns a thriving business with multiple locations across Oahu, while Dad works remotely and travels occasionally for work. Our children stay busy with school, sports, and activities, and our home is full of movement, laughter, and everyday life.

As we prepare to move into our newly renovated home later this summer, we are looking for an experienced Household Manager who will help our home run smoothly, creating more space for us to enjoy meaningful time together as a family.

We love spending time at the beach and pool, cheering on our children's activities, entertaining friends and family, and simply enjoying time together. We hope to find someone who genuinely enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, and becoming a trusted long-term partner in our home.

Key Responsibilities

Household Operations

  • Maintain the overall organization and daily flow of the home
  • Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, and common areas
  • Prepare the home for scheduled cleaning services
  • Organize closets, pantry, storage areas, toys, and seasonal items
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas, and maintain daily tidiness
  • Coordinate household organization projects and donation drop-offs

Household Inventory, Errands & Meal Preparation

  • Monitor and replenish household supplies, pantry items, toiletries, and everyday essentials
  • Coordinate household purchases, grocery shopping, and household inventory
  • Complete errands including returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping, and miscellaneous household needs
  • Prepare healthy snacks and simple meal components alongside the family's chef
  • Wash and prepare fruits and vegetables
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen after meal preparation

Laundry & Household Care

  • Manage family laundry from start to finish
  • Wash, dry, fold, hang, and organize clothing
  • Care for children's school clothes, sports uniforms, towels, and bedding
  • Rotate linens and maintain laundry supplies
  • Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and well stocked

Vendor & Property Coordination

  • Coordinate household vendors, repairs, and maintenance appointments
  • Research service providers and obtain quotes as needed
  • Help ensure the home remains organized, maintained, and guest-ready

Family Support

  • Prepare backpacks, snacks, sports gear, and activity items
  • Provide occasional backup childcare during school breaks or schedule changes
  • Support occasional evening date nights and weekend family needs
  • Assist with holiday preparation, entertaining, and special family events

Administrative Support

  • Help manage family calendars, appointments, camps, and activities
  • Assist with travel preparation, packing, and household logistics
  • Track recurring household tasks and reminders
  • Support miscellaneous administrative projects as needed

Pet Support

  • Coordinate veterinary appointments, medication pickups, and pet supplies

Vehicle Support

  • Assist with vehicle washing, maintenance appointments, and service reminders
