About Our Family

We're a warm, down-to-earth family of four in Mobile, Alabama, searching for an exceptional House Manager & Family Assistant who loves creating calm, organized homes and finds genuine fulfillment in making everyday life easier for others.

Life in our home is beautifully full. Between school schedules, work travel, appointments, activities, and the natural rhythm of family life, there's always something happening. Our two teens are truly the heart of our home, and we love being involved in their day-to-day lives. Our youngest child has ongoing medical needs that have naturally shifted the rhythm of our home and deepened our appreciation for a consistent, grounded environment. Dad travels frequently for work, and Mom keeps the heart of the household beating—but she's ready to hand over the day-to-day logistics to someone she can truly trust.

We're looking for far more than someone to complete a checklist. We want a partner in our home—someone who takes ownership, notices the little things before they become big things, and quietly creates an environment where our family can simply enjoy being together.

Our home already has wonderful vendors who help in various capacities, but our vision is to simplify. Rather than coordinating multiple people each week, we'd love one dependable professional who can become the central hub of our household, bringing consistency, thoughtful organization, and a true sense of ease.

If you've ever found joy in transforming a busy home into a peaceful one, creating systems that actually work, preparing nourishing meals, and knowing your work genuinely improves someone's quality of life, you'll feel right at home here.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're the kind of person who naturally notices what needs to be done before anyone has to ask. You refill the pantry before it's empty, straighten the kitchen without thinking twice, and see the week's schedule with an eye toward what can be prepared in advance. You don't simply complete tasks—you take ownership and quietly make life easier for the family you support.

At the heart of this role are daily resets, thoughtful meal preparation and bringing a calm, grounding presence into our home. Daily resets mean proactively restoring order at key touchpoints (especially the kitchen and laundry room hub): clearing surfaces, loading/unloading the dishwasher, putting items back where they belong, resetting drop zones, and making sure the home feels calm and ready for the next day. Preparing healthy, nourishing meals that simplify busy weekdays is one of the greatest ways you'll support our family. Just as importantly, we're looking for someone whose steady, reassuring nature helps create a sense of peace throughout the home.

Our younger child benefits from consistency, patience, and gentle encouragement, so we're looking for someone who feels comfortable offering emotional support when appropriate—whether that's helping redirect anxious moments, encouraging calming techniques, or simply being a steady, reassuring presence. We're looking for someone who leads with empathy, emotional maturity, and a naturally calming demeanor.

You're highly organized without being rigid, proactive, and confident working independently. You enjoy creating systems that last, anticipating needs before they arise, and ensuring the home runs smoothly from meal prep and household organization to errands and vendor coordination.

Above all, you're dependable and honest. If you say you'll be there, you're there. You're a self-starter who jumps in, sees the gaps, and takes initiative without waiting for direction. You're efficient, professional, and intuitive—you know how to read the room, communicate thoughtfully, and give the family space when appropriate. You understand that the best household professionals don't just complete tasks; they create an environment where life feels lighter, calmer, and easier.
