Responsibilities:

The Housekeepers (or "Service Technicians," as their official title is here at Mercy) are responsible for the overall cleaning of all areas throughout the medical campus to assure that the facility is in compliance with all expectations and standards related to patient safety, infection control, customer satisfaction and regulatory requirements. The Housekeepers are required to clean and disinfect floors, walls, ledges, ceilings, beds, medical equipment, furnishings, commodes, sinks and any other items within the environment that are determined to be part of the EVS cleaning responsibilities.

 

The Housekeepers are required to be proficient in the cleaning, disinfecting, waste removal and the maintaining of all disposable products of all areas of the facility including but not limited to, patient rooms, surgical areas, medical practices, clinical area, offices, common areas, support areas and restrooms.

Qualifications:
  • High School transcript showing completion of a minimum of 9th grade or successful completion of literacy assessment.
  • Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. 
Min: USD $17.00/Hr. Max: USD $23.80/Hr. Salary Information: Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications. Benefits:
