Housekeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Housekeeper to support a lovely family in their beautiful Beacon Hill townhouse.

This is a long-term opportunity for a seasoned private Housekeeper who takes pride in their work, creates a schedule with structure and routine, values discretion, and enjoys creating beauty and order in a refined home.

You will work alongside the current Housekeeper as the principals build their team.

The principals are open to candidates who come from a luxury hotel housekeeping background. They are happy to consider candidates seeking 20-40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Preform daily and deep-cleaning cleaning tasks
• Perform laundry for the household, including washing, drying, steaming, pressing, folding, and sorting garments for multiple family members
• Maintain closets and storage spaces with a visually appealing organization
• Thoughtfully sequence daily and weekly tasks to ensure efficiency and minimal disruption
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, products, and efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

• A career Housekeeper with experience in fine homes or luxury hotels
• Excellent, verifiable references
• Sound knowledge on proper care protocols for antiques, artwork, crystal, fine china, silver, brass, marble, fine linens, and cookware, etc.
• Detail-driven, with a natural eye for beauty, order, and presentation
• Warm, kind, and service-oriented, while maintaining professional boundaries
• Emotionally intelligent and able to read the room
• Calm and discreet
• Proactive and able to anticipate family needs

Schedule

• Generally, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• The principals are flexible if the candidate prefers an earlier start time

Compensation & Benefits

• $45-$52/hour, commensurate with your experience
  • If you prefer a part-time role (under 30 hours/week) with no benefits, the principals are prepared to offer $60/hour.
