This includes maintaining clean classrooms, bathrooms, hallways, common areas, staff spaces, and storage areas.Although this isn't a classroom position, you'll be an important part of our school community and will interact with children, families, and staff throughout the day.ResponsibilitiesDaily Cleaning & SanitationClean and disinfect the center bathroomsEmpty trash throughout the building and replace linersClean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including tables, door handles, light switches, and sinks.Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors throughout the centerFollow center cleaning procedures using approved products and equipment that meet EEC health and safety requirementsAssist classrooms with end-of-day cleanup and organizationLaundry & OrganizationWash, dry, fold, and put away classroom laundryOrganize storage areas and ensure supplies are stored safely and neatlyMonitor inventory levels of cleaning products and paper goodsNotify management when supplies need to be reorderedReceive, stock, and organize deliveriesFacility SupportClean and sanitize toys and play equipment on a rotating scheduleAssist with special cleaning and organization projectsHelp maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment that meets EEC and Bright Ideas Childcare standardsReport maintenance or safety concerns to managementRequirements:QualificationsWe're looking for someone who:Takes pride in maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming spacesIs dependable, punctual, and able to work independentlyIs comfortable working in an active childcare environmentMaintains confidentiality and professionalism in a school settingDemonstrates honesty, reliability, and strong attention to detailMust be authorized to work in the United StatesRequirementsComplete a suitable Massachusetts EEC Background Record CheckWilling to learn and follow EEC regulations related to health, safety, supervision, and sanitationPrevious cleaning, custodial, facilities, housekeeping, school, or childcare experience is preferred but not requiredWe are happy to train the right person who is dependable, eager to learn, and takes pride in their work.Physical RequirementsFrequently bend, lift, reach, push, pull, and carry items throughout the dayLift up to 40 poundsStand and walk for extended periodsPerform repetitive cleaning tasksScheduleThis position offers approximately 25 hours per week between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM , Monday through Friday.Consistent weekday schedule — no nights, weekends, or holidays at our primary location.Additional hours may be available for candidates interested in providing cleaning support at our second location.
