Housekeeper / Family Assistant Position

Location: Portland, ME
Compensation: $32–$35 per hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Long Term
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Overview / About the Family:
A busy and welcoming family in Falmouth, Maine is seeking an experienced full-time, live-out Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support the smooth day-to-day operations of their home. The family is looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive candidate who takes pride in maintaining a clean, well-run household while providing occasional family assistant support. Candidates with housekeeping experience at bed and breakfasts, boutique inns, or high-end hotels are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:

• Deep cleaning and general household cleaning
• Laundry, ironing, and linen care
• Dishwashing and kitchen upkeep
• Household organization and closet organization
• Vacuuming and maintaining overall household cleanliness
• Running errands, including grocery shopping and returns
• Supporting overall household operations efficiently
• Minimal childcare duties, including occasional transportation
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Ensuring the household runs smoothly on a daily basis

Requirements:

• Prior professional housekeeping experience required
• Hospitality housekeeping background preferred (bed and breakfast, boutique inn, or high-end hotel)
• Reliable, organized, and proactive personality
• Comfortable working around pets
• Valid driver's license required
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle or be comfortable using the family vehicle for errands
• Must have 3–5 professional references
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply
