Full-Time Housekeeper

An executive couple with school-aged children would like to hire a full-charge Housekeeper to provide daily care and cleaning for their three-story Lincoln Park residence.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fine home or for a private family. Strong communication skills and a team-player mentality needed; there is a House Manager and a second Housekeeper.

Primary responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the home, hands-on daily and deep cleaning, and all aspects of laundry. Additional responsibilities include seasonal organizational projects.

There is one well-trained dog in this home.

Compensation

• Base salary of $45 to $48 per hour offered, depending on experience, with a benefits package (including health insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays).

Schedule

• The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• The principals are flexible on start times and can accommodate schedules beginning at 7:30, 8:00, 9:00, or 10:00 a.m., depending on the candidate's commute and preferences.
• There is also a second full-time Housekeeper on staff.
  • Ideally, the principals would like the two Housekeepers to provide some Saturday coverage and are open to discussing the best arrangement.
  • If a candidate is open to working occasional Sunday hours, that would be warmly welcomed, though it is not required.
