Job Title: Housekeeper – Hospitality (Spanish & English)

Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Job Type: Contract to hire (This is a 6-month contract position, after which the employee will be converted to a full-time permanent position.)
Pay Rate: $16.00–$17.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Housekeeper to join our hospitality team in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and welcoming guest rooms and public areas while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas according to company standards.
• Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, and sanitize rooms and public spaces.
• Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and report maintenance issues or damages.
• Restock housekeeping carts with linens, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
• Remove trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional linens, towels, or room supplies.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and notify supervisors when replenishment is needed.
• Work collaboratively with the front desk and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for guests.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical tasks, including bending, standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hospitality or commercial housekeeping.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to provide courteous and professional service to guests.
