    Description

    Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital delivers mental health and substance use treatment through our inpatient hospital and intensive outpatient programs. All facilities are accredited by CMS and The Joint Commission, the highest authorities in healthcare. We are committed to a supportive environment, and our professional team of clinicians are carefully selected to provide the very best in mental health care and service to patients and family members. The Housekeeping Lead assists in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff and visitors. The lead provides guidance and training to housekeeping staff, monitors work quality, and assists with scheduling and supply management.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·       Lead and support housekeeping staff during daily operations.

    ·       Train and mentor new employees on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.

    ·       Conduct routine inspections of patient rooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.

    ·       Ensure compliance with infection control safety, and hospital cleanliness standards.

    ·       Assist with staff scheduling and daily assignments.

    ·       Monitor inventory levels and request housekeeping supplies as needed.

    ·       Respond to urgent cleaning requests and special projects.

    ·       Maintain accurate records and communicate departmental needs to management.

    ·       Promote teamwork and provide excellent customer service.

    Requirements

    •    Previous housekeeping experience required.
    •    Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
    •    Knowledge of cleaning methods, infection control, and safety procedures.
    •    Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team.One (1) year housekeeping experience within a healthcare setting strongly preferred
    • Physical Requirements:
    •    Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
    •    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
