Compensation: $16.82 per hour

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with IATSE Local 13.
Schedule: Environmental Services part-time employees are expected to average six (6) worked shifts per week, often structured as three (3) days with two (2) shifts each. Hours are reflective of the dynamic schedule of the theater and require the willingness to work a flexible schedule to help cover performances in the evenings and weekends as needed. (Evening shifts potentially end as late as 12:30am when performances are scheduled.) The minimum length of an individual shift is four (4) hours.
Please note: This position works year-round and is not a summer-only position. You must be able to continue working beyond mid-September 2026.
Position Summary
Housekeepers ensure a positive overall impression of the Guthrie Theater through the effective practice of appropriate cleaning and sanitation standards. This position works with the Associate Director of Facilities, the Environmental Services Assistant Manager, the Housekeeping Leads, and other staff members to ensure that building maintenance requirements are met. As the theater operates daily and is focused on patron and program needs, a flexible schedule is required.
