Job Description

The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning common living areas and resident apartments in the community.Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with particular emphasis on the common areas and the apartment bathroomsComplete maintenance request reports when neededReport deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisorOperate the laundry equipment when neededReport inadequate quantities of all supplies needed to perform duties to housekeeping supervisorUse only approved cleaning products and ensure that all cleaning supplies are properly stored at all timesClean office areas when assignedDust and clean all window blinds in the communityDust all furniture, book shelves, etc. in resident apartments and common areasVacuum common areas and resident apartmentsKeep common area and resident bathrooms cleanClean apartments at resident move-outAttend required in-services and staff meetingsMaintain resident privacy/confidentiality at all times. Follow all policies regarding release of resident informationOther duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GEDHousekeeping experience highly desiredAbility to understand verbal and written instructionsAbility to complete assignments thoroughly and on timeAbility to work well with others as part of a teamPolite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management teamMust be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feetMust wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygieneMust be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
