Reporting to the Director of In-Patient Care Services the Housekeeper performs a variety of housekeeping and cleaning service functions in maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of all service areas, facilities, and patient rooms.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 1:00pm
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Must have a good understanding of the English language.
Three or more years of experience in some cleaning capacity, preferably Housekeeping.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Previous experience in hospitality or hospital/medical industry, preferably Housekeeping.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean and disinfect patient rooms according to terminal cleaning checklist.
Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces per Gulfside Healthcare Services requirements, OSHA and EPA regulations.
Proper use of personal protective equipment and must be able to wear a N95 respirator.
Provide cleaning for all areas of the facility for a safe and healthy environment.
Dusting all surfaces, including furniture, baseboards, lamps, tabletops, sofas and curtains; Scrubbing and mopping floors using approved cleaning solutions.
Physically remove trash in all areas of the building and dispose in dumpster.
Restocking items in the facility such as toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, etc.
Complete Daily Safety/Sanitary Checklist and other forms for compliance.
Transport cart with cleaning supplies and equipment to assigned areas and position securely.
Update status of patient rooms cleaned via electronic forms and assignment sheet.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning and building supplies and ordering more as needed.
Return and restock cart at end of shift.
Report any safety hazards, damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.
Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
