We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Housekeeping Porter to join our environmental services team at a long-term care nursing facility in Staten Island, NY.

Our housekeeping team plays an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. If you take pride in your work and enjoy making a positive impact every day, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms, hallways, offices, dining areas, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas throughout the facility
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclable materials
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
• Assist with floor care, including buffing and polishing, when needed
• Follow infection control procedures and OSHA safety guidelines
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from nursing and administrative staff
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department
• Help maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for residents and visitors

Requirements

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or porter experience in a nursing home, hospital, rehabilitation center, or healthcare facility preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
• Excellent work ethic and positive attitude
