Housekeeper - PT Hospital housekeepers are responsible for sustaining a sterile environment in all areas of the hospital by cleaning rooms, replenishing linens and maintaining floors.Essential duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Using various cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, cleans patient rooms, nursing units, administrative offices, laboratory areas, waiting areas and public restrooms, including: wipe equipment, clean furniture, polish floors and vacuum carpeets, launder hospital linen.Follow Massac policy and procedure and DHS guidelines to cleanse, disinfect and dispose of medical waste.Manage inventory of general housekeeping supplies, i.e., soap dispensers, toilet paper, paper towels etc. and ensure these supplies are readily available during hours of operation.Collect dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute clean linens and hospital gowns to appropriate floors.Performs other duties as assigned.Demonstrate initiative and ownership in performance of duties and be self-starter. Minimum Qualifications:Education: Must be able to read and write and follow both written and verbal directions. High school diploma or GED preferred.Experience: Minimum of one year experience in housekeeping is preferred. Shift: Varies ***MMH is an equal opportunity employer***
