Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize offices, break rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, hallways, and other facility areas.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, equipment exteriors, and other assigned surfaces.
• Restock restroom and sanitation supplies as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment and cleaning tools in good working condition.
• Follow all food safety, quality, sanitation, and environmental procedures.
• Comply with all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
• Report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or sanitation issues to supervision.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and plant housekeeping initiatives as assigned.
• Support audit readiness and maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, sanitation, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a food manufacturing and meat-processing environment.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, moisture, cleaning chemicals, and production-related conditions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.

Work Environment

This position is located in a meat processing/slaughter facility where employees may be exposed to animal byproducts, production noise, cold and wet conditions, and food manufacturing processes. Team members are expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.
