Environmental Services I

Location: Schuyler Ridge, Clifton Park, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Days

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This role supports the mission of St. Peter's Health Care Services through high-quality housekeeping services and adherence to infection prevention standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean resident rooms, common areas, fixtures, and surfaces according to established housekeeping procedures and schedules.

  • Follow infection prevention and sanitation protocols at all times.

  • Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and maintain assigned areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and other departments.

  • Respond courteously and professionally to resident and staff requests.

  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by department leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform housekeeping and environmental services duties effectively.

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $16.20-19.74

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
