About the role
The Housekeeping Houseperson supports the housekeeping operation by keeping guest floors, service areas, and back-of-house spaces clean, organized, and well stocked. This role helps the hotel transition smoothly through the evening by responding to guest and team needs, replenishing supplies and linens, maintaining common areas, and supporting room attendants and housekeeping leadership as needed.
This is an onsite position located at Hotel Bardo Savannah.
What you'll do
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked linen rooms, supply closets, and housekeeping work areas throughout the hotel
- Restock linens, amenities, and supplies to support housekeeping operations and prepare the team for the following day
- Respond to guest and team requests for linens, amenities, towels, and other housekeeping items in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with removing used linens and trash from guestrooms, guest floors, and service areas as needed
- Transport soiled linens, trash, and supplies between guest floors and designated service areas
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of guest corridors, elevator landings, and housekeeping service areas
- Support late room turns, special requests, and other housekeeping priorities as directed by leadership
- Provide warm, professional service when interacting with guests throughout the hotel
- Partner with housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, laundry, and overnight teams to ensure a smooth transition between shifts
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
- Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently during evening hours
- Ability to lift, push carts, bend, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods
- Strong sense of urgency and willingness to respond quickly to guest and operational needs
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to step in wherever needed to support the team
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
