Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping / Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This role plays a key part in infection control and overall resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Perform laundry duties (wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens/clothing)
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
  • Sanitize surfaces including handrails, fixtures, and high-touch areas
  • Empty trash and manage waste disposal properly
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain organized housekeeping carts and supply areas
  • Report safety concerns and supply needs promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Housekeeping experience required (healthcare or long-term care preferred)
  • Compassion for an underserved population
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
