Housekeeping - Laundry Attendant - The Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort

Job Responsibilities

Sort all linens and treat stains

Load all laundry into the washer and add specified cleaning agents

Take wet, clean items and dry as directed

Sort and fold or hang clean dried items

Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisors

Maintain all laundry equipment and inform the facilities manager as to any maintenance needs

Perform additional laundry services when necessary

Keep the laundry room, linen storage, and all laundry equipment clean and organized

Ensure that the laundry room is maintained as a clean and safe workplace

Follow all safety and OSHA regulations and other applicable state and local regulations

Report any safety concerns or hazards to management immediately

Operate equipment according to all policies and procedures

Follow all company service standards and procedures

Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements

Lost & Found Items found in the laundry to be communicated to be supervisors and left in Housekeeping Office upon finding.

Uphold the hotel's confidentiality and security standards.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous experience in laundry, dry cleaning, or housekeeping preferred

Ability to stand for long periods

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment

Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

Customer-oriented and friendly

Prioritization and time management skills

Working quickly without compromising quality

Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays if required

Attention to detail

Professional attitude is required

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to follow instructions and procedures

Excellent organizational and team management skills

Knowledge of English language
