In this role: You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing clean, processed linen to ensure a safe environment . You will weigh and record the weight of all clean linen the facility receives from commercial laundry . You will complete the necessary data entry for proper documentation of linen processed/received . You will set up all linen exchange or replenishment of carts as needed or scheduled . You will assist with calls for emergencies pertaining to linen problems. You will examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and send torn linen to the seamstress to repair . You will make recommendations to the Director of Ho usekeeping for changes in linen or procedures to improve safety and patient care or to reduce costs . Qualification s : Environmental Service experience preferred . Previous Linen experience preferred, but not required. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required .
