Housekeeping Manager
Job Description
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping department and ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained. The Executive Housekeeper will manage a team of housekeeping staff and work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Manage a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards.
- Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Work closely with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Prepare and manage departmental budget.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
