    Hotel Overview:

    Located in the heart of downtown Fairmont New Orleans will be an impressive new addition to Fairmont's luxury portfolio, offering 250 luxury guest rooms, four food & drink venues, a rooftop pool with expansive views of the city, more than 19,000 square feet of function space, and a 10,000 square-foot spa.

    This property is destined to become an illustrious destination in the Central Business District, nearby the city's renowned and historic French Quarter.

    • Assist Director of Housekeeping with interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, evaluating and managing housekeeping team members to achieve all departmental goals and objectives.
    • Always ensure the clean and orderly appearance of the Hotel by effective planning, management and supervision.
    • Perform room and Member inspections to ensure consistent luxury quality standards are being met and maintained
    • Ensure the overall cleanliness and maintenance of all guestrooms within the hotel, consistently adhering to corporate and property policies and standards.
    • Select recognize and reward the team of housekeeping leaders and colleagues, positively impacting both colleague and guest satisfaction.
    • Effectively communicate the flow of information and directives throughout the department and property
    • Ensure new employees are trained in the correct methods of cleaning, the proper use of housekeeping equipment and that equipment is available and properly maintained.
    • Assist with the administration and management of all housekeeping operations including scheduling, payroll, supply and inventory control.
    • Ensure high morale and productivity levels through staff planning, training and development and monthly departmental meetings.
    • Enhance Housekeeping related standards and respond to guest comments and concerns immediately and follow through on action required.
    • Monitor quality of supplies and linen in department.
    • Participate in the effective management of employee relations within the department through involvement in development discussions and consistent performance management.
    • Evaluate, develop and monitor departmental Health & Safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment is always maintained and that employees are committed to working safely.
    • Purchase all supplies related to the department and coordinate services with outside contractors as necessary.
    • Review and update procedures for the stocking, care and control of all supplies.
    • Ensure rooms' core standards are implemented and audited for consistency.
    • Responsible for the Housekeeping Department in the absence of the Housekeeping Director.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity
    • Previous experience in Housekeeping an asset
    • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
    • University/College degree in Hospitality or related discipline an asset
    • Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate colleagues.
    • Must be highly organized and energetic and possess the ability to get the job done.
    • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
