Housekeeping (Seasonal)

Position OverviewTo provide a clean and safe atmosphere for our guest and staff while upholding the highest standards of cleanliness throughout of facilities and grounds.Key ResponsibilitiesClean building floors, common areas, bathrooms, and rooms with sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.Stock restrooms, storage areas, and maintenance supplies with cleaning equipment.Use property management system to identify and prioritize cleaning tasks.Assist with room turnovers ("flipping") in hotel and bunk houses.Maintain a cleaning log to track completed areas and inspections.Report on unsafe conditions or required repairs to supervisors.Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+General computer knowledgeWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
