Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Madison, WI

Hours: 8am-2pm

Us: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of prior supervisory experience in a similar role.

 

Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor staff within the building.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all employees.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring their proper usage, storage, and maintenance.
  • Perform Housekeeping duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of prior supervisory experience in a housekeeping or environmental services role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, infection control, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, patients, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies or urgent situations as needed.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, and managing departmental operations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
