The Commons in Lincoln, a premiere community within Benchmark, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Independent Living who will lead a friendly and dynamic team and be responsible for cleanliness and safety for residents, staff and visitors. The Housekeeping Supervisor provides oversight and guidance to the Housekeeping team. Prior experience working with seniors is preferred. The Housekeeping Supervisor for Independent Living reports to our IL Plant Operations Director.Responsibilities

Manage Housekeeping team including hiring, training and supervisionEstablish and manage housekeeping schedule and work-order systemsEstablish and maintain standards, periodic inspections for quality housekeeping services to residents and the campusMaintain a clean, orderly laundry room and store chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instructionFollow standards and practices for the use and storage of specific chemicals and be familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misusedUnderstand the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous wasteEnsure that all safety rules and regulations are followedAssist with thoroughly cleaning all assigned resident living areas as scheduled by supervisorAssist with cleaning all common areas according to standards and practices including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units and other flat surfaces as neededAssist with washing and drying all laundry, including resident's personal laundry using cleaning products appropriate to the type of washFold linen and return to appropriate locationReplenish and maintain supply levels in work areasAssure that the facility and all equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenienceAssist Director of Plant Operations with talent reviews for housekeeping staffParticipate in in-service trainings as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum of 2 years of prior housekeeping experienceSupervisory experience requiredExperience working with a senior population preferred
