JOB DESCRIPTION: The housekeeping supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of the housekeeping staff, quality service, guest satisfaction and safety. Supervises cleaning and assists in administration of housekeeping services in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards and federal, state and local regulations. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management. Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on all hotel facilities and services to assist guests as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Completes the opening and closing of the housekeeping department
Completes the daily boards/work assignments for the housekeeping team
Supervises the housekeeping team to ensure quality and standards are being upheld
Inspects all departure and stayover cleans for the day, ensuring inspection checklists are also completed
Oversees the housemen to ensure all guest requests and tasks assigned are completed
Responsible for hiring of new department team members
Oversees the training of all new housekeeping team members
Completes on the job training with all team members to ensure all standards are upheld
Conducts coaching, counselling and disciplinary actions as required
Arranges staff work schedules, determining days off, insuring staffing levels are based on occupancy and/or any current or anticipated projects. Submits payroll records, correcting errors to ensure pay is on time and accurate
Maintains and reviews computerized records for budgeting and forecasting of department expenses as well as inspection scores for housekeepers.
Assists the Executive Housekeeper with weekly, monthly and annual inventories
Ensures the security of all department inventory
Coordinate on a daily basis with front desk and management to ensure clear communication
Respond to guest requests or complaints in an efficient and professional manner
Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff and management team
Perform any other job related duties as assigned by management

Must have minimum of one year housekeeping experience working in related field (hospitality preferred)
Must have previous housekeeping responsibilities for up to 14 rooms a day
Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
Must maintain current licensure in service area
Must have reliable transportation
Must have valid Florida Drivers license and good driving record
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)
Must have full availability and be able to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Ability to read, write and speak English (multi-lingual preferred)
