Ensures entire Hotel including guest rooms and public areas are clean and operational. Supports the Executive Housekeeper with his/her responsibilities to attain departmental objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities:

• Supervises, directs, assists, monitors performance and ensures the completion of Housekeeping and Laundry tasks assigned to room attendants, and laundry attendants while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards set forth by the department
• Responsible for assisting with the hiring and development of personnel while ensuring an adequate level of labor is used to perform the required level of service
• Understands and administers performance appraisals, sets performance expectations and provides coaching and operational support for Housekeeping and Laundry staff
• Monitors and controls departmental payroll budget
• Follows inventory and purchasing procedures in order to maintain budgeted expenses
• Maintains key control within department
• Accountable for follow up with department walk throughs, and assignment of special cleaning projects as needed
• Ensures proper training and requires Team Members to maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests and Team Members
• Maintains lost and found property ensuring established protocol is followed
• Perform duties of Room Attendant and Laundry Attendant when necessary
• Adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

• High School diploma or GED
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Preferred

• College Degree
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the hotel
• Must be able to push and lift weight of up to 30 pounds
• Respond to visual and aural cues
• Able to lift, bend, walk, reach overhead, kneel, stand and grip items while working at assigned area for long periods of time
• Must be able to work in areas containing some noise levels and secondary smoke
• Read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
