Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and develop housekeeping staff to maintain high cleanliness and service standards.
  • Coordinate daily work assignments, ensuring proper distribution of duties among team members.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality, productivity, and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform and administer inspections to meet cleanliness standards and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Assign cleaning tasks effectively while monitoring staff efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, workplace safety protocols, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Track and measure housekeeping performance using technology-driven systems for reporting and accountability.
  • Assist with inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels efficiently.
  • Oversee and maintain the security of housekeeping keys, ensuring compliance with hotel security policies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all public areas, guest rooms, and common spaces in accordance with hotel and amusement park standards.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Enforce compliance with state and federal labor laws, including break times, overtime regulations, and fair scheduling practices.
  • Construct and administer employee counseling and warnings to hold team members accountable and ensure adherence to performance expectations.
  • Work closely with hotel and amusement park leadership to support operational goals and guest satisfaction initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive efficiency and effectiveness in housekeeping operations.
  • Utilize technology-based tracking systems to measure performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and generate reports for management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by departmental leadership to support business needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation protocols.
  • Ability to enforce safety and compliance standards while promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to uphold high-quality housekeeping standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management technology to track and report performance.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and adjust schedules as needed to meet business demands.
  • Physically capable of performing light physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs and prolonged standing, walking, reaching, crouching, and carrying items.
