The Housekeeping Associate is an essential member of the Golds Gym team. They ensure that all areas of the facility-including gym floor locker rooms, offices, and common spaces-are consistently clean, safe, and welcoming for members. The role includes performing a variety of cleaning duties, maintaining equipment and supplies, and supporting the overall member experience.
Facility Cleaning & Maintenance
• Clean outside glass and interior mirrors. • Wipe down equipment, doors, and floors as needed. • Empty trash receptacles daily. • Sweep and mop floors, stairwells, and staircases. • Clean carpets and hard-surface floors as needed. • Clean fitness equipment thoroughly. • Clean bathrooms, including tiles, tubs, walls, sinks, and mirrors. • Dust furniture and fixtures daily. • Clean management offices daily. • Mop and sweep lobby floors.
Locker Room Responsibilities
• Sweep, mop, remove trash, and dust locker rooms. • Clean and sanitize restrooms & locker rooms. • Toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors. • Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper. • Clean out lint and maintain general tidiness. • Buff locker and lobby room floors as needed.
Equipment & Supply Maintenance
• Clean, maintain, and organize cleaning tools, such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners. • Ensure equipment is kept in good condition and stored properly. • Clean vacuum cleaner bags or canisters daily. • Stock carts with linens and supplies, keeping them organized according to training guidelines.
Other Duties
• Pick up debris on carpets and perform vacuuming as needed. • Report maintenance or repair issues accurately and promptly. • Collaborate professionally with gym staff and management.
