    Job Summary

    Job Summary
    Responsible for performing work aimed at preventing the spread of infection by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, properly disposing of waste, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment throughout the facility.

    Essential Functions

    Performs cleaning duties in accordance with organizational standards, established schedules, and infection control guidelines
    Completes waste stream removal following proper disposal protocols
    Cleans and services assigned areas based on established procedures
    Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies within Medical Center departments as needed
    Maintains hospital spaces in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition
    Operates environmental services equipment (e.g., floor machines, buffers)
    Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually
    Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times

    High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

    Related experience 0-1 year preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply chemicals safely.
    - Working knowledge of various cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
