About the Role:

The Houseperson plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the workplace environment within a management company or enterprise setting. This position ensures that all common areas, meeting rooms, and office spaces are kept tidy and well-stocked, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors alike. The Houseperson supports operational efficiency by promptly addressing cleaning needs, managing waste disposal, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks. By maintaining high standards of hygiene and orderliness, the Houseperson helps promote a safe and comfortable work environment. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to uphold the company’s standards of excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a corporate or office environment.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety standards and protocols.
  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers or carpet cleaners.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces throughout the facility.

  • Ensure that cleaning supplies and materials are adequately stocked and report inventory needs to management.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company policies and environmental guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Support other facility-related tasks as assigned to contribute to smooth daily operations.
